The Best Northwest Escapes Just in time for the holidays! Join local accomplished artist Barbara Sampson at the Inn to learn the Japanese printing process - Gyotaku. Gyo means fish and taku - impression - pre-camera days the fisherman used this process to record their trophy catches - using their freshly caught prizes and inky paper. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gyotaku

You will make your own prints for framing, seasonal cards and or wrapping paper with your own design. Morning session (10 - 12) will be spent printing your own fish using the gyotaku process ( we will provide the small fish!). The afternoon class (2 - 3:30) will be devoted to printing using either fish or "found objects" on cards or wrapping paper. Coincides with razor clamming December opening! Introductory pricing! The cost for each artist $15.00. Inn guests will receive a discount if purchased using promo code "class10." All supplies provided but please bring your own found beach objects or use the lunch break to explore the beach. Limited only by your imagination.
